Koltsovo international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) takes strenuous measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. A thermovision camera installed at the entrance to the passenger terminal in the screening zone is used to take distant thermometry fr om all visitors to the airport. Thermograph monitoring is also conducted for all passengers arriving in Yekaterinburg — at the exit from the Arrivals gallery to the baggage claim terminal.
Travellers may buy masks, gloves and sanitizers in vending machines set up in the airport. When visitors lack essential protective gear, the latter can be purchased at the entrance to the passenger terminal as well as in waiting lounges.
Dispensers with a skin sanitizer are stationed at the entrance to the terminal in contact zones. Public spaces, contact equipment in screening/inspection zones and at the gates as well as check-in counters are treated with disinfectants. The buses and vehicles used for catering to airliners are also disinfected. Placed inside the building of the passenger terminal are signposts alerting to the need to keep social distancing; the PA system is also used to raise public awareness to the coronavirus infection prevention measures.
All airport employees must wear masks, whereas the employees of services directly contacting passengers must also wear protective glasses or shields, gloves, and use skin sanitizers.
To prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, within the airport’s precincts travelers must:
- wear protective masks and gloves;
- treat their hands with disinfectants;
- keep the social distance of no less than 1.5-2 metres;
- minimize the number of attendants and lim it the sojourn in the airport to 2 hours at the most.
